Bill Hughes of Miller Homes has swept to success for the third year running in the National House Building Council’s (NHBC) ‘Pride in the Job’ contest 2005 - beating thousands of site managers across the UK to take once again take the “Supreme” title in the large builder category.

The site manager for the development that our house was on could certainly have learnt a few lessons from this chap. I lost count of the number of times that we had to chase for fixes to the smaller problems we had with our new house. Never mind that the stairs were built about 8 inches too far back that meant that the doorway to the utility area had to be moved, that in turn meant that the cupboards due to go into the utility room no longer fitted!
