I've just finished working on a website for Accountants Search UK which lists accountants from all over the UK.
The idea behind the site is that it is that it’s a directory of accountancy firms who can help clients with all aspects of accounting including; audit, bookkeeping, general business advice, management accounts, payroll, income tax, self assessment, corporation tax, inheritance tax, capital gains tax, forming a company, tax compliance, raising finance, company secretarial work, retirement planning, estate planning, pensions advice and any other financial advice they may need.
I was particularly pleased with this as it uses SOAP to talk to a 3rd party supplier of the data. A project like this beats just training in a technology as it has a real end result that can be seen and is useful to people (hopefully).
The client was pleased with the result and now we just need to get it onto the various search engine results so that it starts to make the client some money....

Last night was the first night of the new-werri-thorpe gangshow mentioned earlier.
As has been the case with the last 5 years the show was of a good standard with a cast of 85 Cubs, Brownies, Guides, Scouts and leaders all taking part. I know that they have been rehearsing since just after Christmas and it really shows in the standard of performance by the cast.
Next year is the 30th gangshow put on by this group and if you are in the Peterborough area while it is on I'd really recomend booking tickets to see it.
