Health and Safety

The office I work in is undergoing a rigorous health and safety check at the moment. Everything from the fire plan, electrical equipment, trip hazards to the emergency lighting is being looked at and checked.

We thought about doing this ourselves but decided that it would be better to get in some experts in health and safety in Lincolnshire (the office is on the borders of Lincolnshire and Cambridgeshire so LIncolnshire seemed to be an obvious place).

The consultants have been in and had a look around and we are now waiting for their report. We know that the pat testing of all the electrical equipment is due and will be booking that soon. This at least will mean that all the cables, PC's, printers, lights and UPS boxes will be checked out and we will know that they are safe for another year - it took the PAT tester the best part of a day last time to work their way around the office, it is suprising when you look around just how many electrical items the office has.
