It can be a shock when Google bans a website that you have been sucessful with for several years. The Google Reinclusion request experience anyone article on webmaster world is useful and gives a few pointers as to the way to ask for a reinclusion of the website.
The first response from Google is an automatic reply - don't give up, reply to this keeping the reference in the subject of the email. Then sit back and wait, just like I'm doing now...

Google Sitemaps seems to be a good way of feeding all the pages on your website into Google.
I wonder if the other engines will adopt the same format as a standard or whether webmasters will end up haveing multiple copies of site maps. Time will tell I guess.
