It can be a shock when Google bans a website that you have been sucessful with for several years. The Google Reinclusion request experience anyone article on webmaster world is useful and gives a few pointers as to the way to ask for a reinclusion of the website.

The first response from Google is an automatic reply - don't give up, reply to this keeping the reference in the subject of the email. Then sit back and wait, just like I'm doing now...

Links from good web directories can be some of the best links you can get for your web site. This directory of directories at http://www.directoryarchives.com is where you will find a wide selection of search engine friendly directories. Some of the directories are free to get listed in whilst others may charge a fee.

Google Sitemaps seems to be a good way of feeding all the pages on your website into Google.

I wonder if the other engines will adopt the same format as a standard or whether webmasters will end up haveing multiple copies of site maps. Time will tell I guess.
